The Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has announced that its members can avail themselves of the UAN-Aadhaar link facility through the UMANG mobile app. As mentioned on the website, umang.gov.in, the UMANG or the unified mobile app provides access to various government services in one place. The government app offers seamless integration among popular customer-centric services such as Aadhaar, EPF, National Pension System (NPS), Digilocker, and others. The new possibility to link the Aadhaar number to the PF account through the UMANG app is a new entry in the existing list of facilities mentioned on the EPFO ​​website. Let’s take a look at three ways to link your Aadhaar number to a PF account.

Here is a step by step guide to link Aadhaar to PF account through UMANG app:

Step 1: Download the UMANG app through Google Play Store or Apple iOS.

Step 2: Various online services / facilities are available in the UMANG app. Click on the EPFO ​​link.

Step 3: press the reading tab – “eKYC services”

Step 4: Click on the ‘Aadhaar Seeding’ option to continue. It is also suggested that you keep your UAN ready at this point.

Step 5: Enter your UAN number and an OTP will be sent to the registered UAN mobile number. Provide Aadhaar card details, verify it using OTP. Now your Aadhaar will be linked to your UAN number.

However, subscribers can also follow the method mentioned on the EPFO ​​website.

Here are the steps to link Aadhaar to the PF account through the EPFO ​​website:

Step 1: Open any internet browser and navigate to EPFO ​​website or directly click on www.epfindia.gov.in

Step 2: Select the online services section.

Step 3: Tap on the eKYC portal link.

Step 4: Click on ‘Link UAN Aadhaar’ and an OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to the UAN.

Step 5: After the OTP verification, the person will need to provide their Aadhaar number.

Step 6: Again, another OTP will be sent to his Aadhaar related mobile / email.

Step 7: After the OTP verification, if the UAN details match Aadhaar, the two will be related to each other.

You can also link your Aadhaar to your EPF offline account.

Here’s how you should go about it:

Step 1: Go to the office and complete the “Aadhaar Seeding Request” form.

Step 2: Enter your UAN and Aadhaar details in the form along with other information

Step 3: Attach self-certified copies of your PAN, Aadhaar and UAN to the form.

Step 4: Submit it to any EPFO ​​field office or Common Service Centers (CSCs).

Step 5: Once verified, your Aadhaar will be linked to your EPF account.

Step 6: After the Aadhaar and UAN are linked, you will receive a message about it on your registered cell phone number.
