PHOENIX, ARIZONA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Oct. 13, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — DIZPOT, an Arizona-based global packaging, branding and logistics company, continues to advocate for federal legalization cannabis while providing financial support for state election campaigns. DIZPOT contributed $5,000 to Missouri Amendment 3 that would legalize adult-use marijuana and automatically erase past non-violent cannabis-related offenses.
John Hartsell, co-founder and CEO of DIZPOT, has championed several pro-cannabis policy initiatives, including Prop 207 in 2020 which eventually legalized recreational cannabis in Arizona. Now he’s advocating for reform in his home state of Missouri.
DIZPOT has pledged to produce 50,000 ballot awareness stickers for distribution over the next month in dispensary exit bags to medical marijuana patients in Missouri.
“We are beyond grateful for this donation. Each sticker will help raise awareness of our efforts to legalize adult-use marijuana in Missouri. Voting is so important at all levels! Our hope is to inspire those who have benefited from the legalization of medical cannabis to share their stories and bring voters to the polls on November 8,” said John Payne, Legal Missouri 2022 Campaign Manager.
According to a recent SurveyUSA poll, 62% of registered Missouri voters support legalization.
“Although a majority of Missourians support recreational legalization, keeping voters educated and informed is critical. This initiative will make cannabis more accessible and expand business and economic opportunities across the state,” Hartsell said.
Missouri is one of five states where adult-use balloting is scheduled for voting in November. In the past two years, eight U.S. states have passed legalization measures bringing the total number of recreational programs to 19. In addition to these recent state-level policy milestones, President Biden’s declaration pardoning all federal offenses simple possession of marijuana brought the topic of national legalization to the political forefront.
“Cannabis decriminalization is the only logical next step in the saga of newly legalized cannabis markets across the United States. The senseless prosecution and incarceration of non-violent criminals must end. This is one of the many steps necessary to achieve a just and fair justice system,” said Hartsell.
