WandaVision director signs up for Apple TV+ series Godzilla
The MonsterVerse expands as Godzilla and the titans comes to Apple TV+.
The live broadcast received a huge update as Wanda Vision director Matt Shakman has signed on to direct the series, according to Variety. It will follow on from the Legendary MonsterVerse that was established in the previous films Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla (2014).
Shakman is set to direct the first two episodes, serving as executive producer for the rest of the series.

The show is set to resume right after the events of 2014 Godzillaand follows “a family’s journey to uncover long-buried secrets and a legacy tying them to the secret Monarch organization”.
He will also see Hawk Eye producer Matt Fraction and Star Trek: Enterprise writer Chris Black joins.
In addition to his Emmy-winning work on Wanda VisionShakman has directed over 40 episodes of Philadelphia is always sunny and is ready to lead a next star trek after. He also worked on an episode of Hulu’s Great as well as Game of Thrones, Les Garçons, Mad Men and Fargo.

The Apple TV+ series follows a string of hits in the rebooted MonsterVerse. Four films have been released: Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) – the four collectively earning around $2 billion at the global box office.
Godzilla vs. Kong is also confirmed to get a sequel which will be filmed later this year and sees Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens played the lead role.
Godzilla vs. Kong is available for home rental in the UK from Prime Video, iTunes and other participating digital retailers, while it’s available to play now in US cinemas and on HBO Max in the US.
